Our 10 yard roll-off dumpster is perfect for disposing of inert materials such as concrete, asphalt, brick, masonry, dirt, soil, sand, ceramics, compressed earth blocks, rebar, and metal. Here are three common scenarios where this would be appropriate.

Construction and Demolition Cleanup

Removing concrete, asphalt, brick, and masonry is crucial for site preparation and ensuring safety before new construction begins.

Landscaping and Land Development

Removing soil, sand, or compressed earth blocks is essential for reshaping terrain, installing drainage systems, and preparing land for new structures.

Infrastructure Repair and Maintenance

Repairing roads, sidewalks, and other infrastructure often requires removing asphalt, concrete, rebar, and metal before applying new materials.

Dumpster FAQs

Dumpster rental pricing depends on your location and debris content. Please call (800) 650-6165 or request an online quote.

We accept the following credit cards: Visa, MasterCard and American Express.

We charge your card on the day we drop off your dumpster bin.

If the dumpster bin needs to be relocated or cannot be picked up or delivered when scheduled due to customer error/mistake beyond our control, there will be a $125 per hour charge for the truck time.

Extra charges apply if the dumpster bin must be washed out or if concrete has dried and must be chipped out. There are also extra charges for large tree stumps.

10 yard bins containing only concrete, asphalt, bricks, block, and clean dirt without roots or grass can be recycled, otherwise they will be taken to landfill.

The base price for a 10 yard dumpster bin includes 10 tons depending on the city (please contact us to verify). If the weight exceeds these amounts, you will be charged an extra fee per ton.

Dumpster bins must weigh less than 10 tons and cannot be loaded higher than the top of the box. Overweight dumpster bins will not be hauled.

If you are filling it with concrete and dirt, 1 cubic yard weighs approximately 1 ton, so a 10 yard dumpster bin weighs approximately 10 tons when loaded with inert material.

We rent out dumpster bins for a 7 day period. A $15 daily rental charge per dumpster bin will be billed beginning one week after delivery.

Note that dumpster bins are not automatically picked up at one week. You must call to schedule a pickup and verify that the pickup was completed. Special pricing will be considered if you need the dumpster bin for an extended amount of time.

Our price includes using the bin on site for one week and dumping it once.

Having 24 hours’ notice or more is always helpful. However, if you call in the morning, we can often deliver your dumpster bin that afternoon. Afternoon calls can usually get dumpster bins the next morning.

We never accept liquids or hazardous materials. Any found in the dumpster bin will be returned at customer expense.

Be sure to select the right size dumpster bin for your project. The contents should not stick out the top of the bin. Heavy, inert materials such as concrete, dirt, and bricks should go only in a 10 yard bin.

You may include tree stumps. However, there will be an extra charge to handle them. You can possibly save on extra charges by reducing the stumps to less than two feet in diameter.

Hazardous materials include: electronics (e-waste), paint, oil, chemicals, petroleum products, asbestos, gardening products, automotive fluids, batteries, household cleaning products, medicines, light bulbs.

We handle tires at extra charge.

To dispose of hazardous waste, visit https://calrecycle.ca.gov/ or your city may provide hazardous waste collection.

Inert material refers to inorganic, or nonliving, materials, such as concrete, asphalt, brick, masonry, dirt, soil, sand, ceramics, compressed earth blocks, rebar, and metal.

Non-inert material includes drywall, stucco, siding, flooring, roofing, insulation, stucco, trees, grass, roots, sod, trash, paper, plastic, and green waste.

The amount of space needed will vary based on the area and site conditions (obstacles, gates, overhanging roofs, etc). The box is delivered on a ten-wheeled truck approximately 8 feet wide and 37 feet long. The roll-off container is 8 feet wide and 22 feet long.

Contact us and one of our team members can give you a more accurate answer based on your particular area.

In most cities, you do need a permit to place the bin on the street. To get a permit, go to your city’s Public Works website.

You do not need a permit if the bin is on your property. However, we require your signature in person or by fax to release us from any property damage.

Be advised that an empty 2 ton bin and a full 8 ton bin can easily crack your driveway. Plywood may help avoid damage. Our drivers will not drop a bin where it would possibly harm a person or property.

Customer must comply with all governmental regulations, including street use permits.

Customer will grant Metropolis Disposal, Inc. access to the job site at reasonable times.
